Obituary for Leslie Gordon Eyres
EYRES: Leslie Gordon Eyres passed away at the Assiniboine Centre on Monday, August 24, 2015 with the love of his life, Gwen Gonzalez, by his side. Les was born on July 18, 1950 in Brandon, Manitoba and raised on a family farm. He was predeceased by his grandparents, parents, Robert Gordon Eyres and Jean Helen Eyres, and nephew, Robert David Friesen. He leaves behind his sister, Judy Marie Eyres-Friesen, brother in law, Pete Friesen, nephews, Jamie Friesen and Wayne Friesen, and grandchild, Ashley. Leslie had a lifelong interest in cars and trains. He was a very kind and compassionate man befriended by many. The graveside service will be held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Watts and Fr. Sean Beahan officiating. Donations in memory of Les may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
