The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Douglas Tryon can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Sharon Saito
Condolence: I was shocked and saddened to learn of Doug's passing. I worked with Doug in the Housekeeping dept. at the Brandon hospital. He got along with everybody. Whenever I seen him outside of work he always had a big smile for me and we would then have a nice little chat. Doug will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace.

Condolence: We miss you dearly Grandpa Doug.

It meant so much to us, especially all of our kids, seeing you at all of their activities, sports and special events. You were so proud of each and every one of the kids and their accomplishments.

We have so many cherished memories such as Christmas when you would show up bright and early with the biggest surprise box of snacks and treats containing everything the kids loved. They looked forward to it each Christmas morning and we will continue that tradition in your honour as it brings such excitement to their faces as they shred the box open.

We will think of you each birthday as the kids do their "cake smash". We may never have been able to convince you to join in on the cake smash but we know it brought a smile to your face each and every time we tried.

We have wonderful memories of fishing trips. Even if we weren't successful in catching anything, it was sure fun trying.

Thank you for always being there and for the wonderful memories. You'll be forever in our hearts.

Love Mike, Krista, Kimberly, Kayden, Rylin, Liam, Zachary, Kaylee, Kalon and Raven

Condolence: Just read this today and am in shock(August 23rd)! Very saddened to hear of Doug’s passing, deepest condolences to all of Doug’s family. Doug always had a smile and friendly chat whenever I ran into him. I wrked with him at the hospital, seems like such a long time ago but he always remembered who I was when I bumped into him! I never ever saw him without a smile! Rest easy Doug, gone but not forgotten! Truly one of the friendliest guys around! Hugs again to all his family. ❤️

Condolence: To my dear friend Caryn, Doug's children, grand and great grandchildren we extend our deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband, dad and grandpa. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Those we love remain with us,
For love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one is gone.
Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart.
For as long as there is a memory,
They live on within our hearts.
