Obituary for Douglas Wayne Tryon

Douglas Wayne Tryon
With great sorrow the family announces the passing of Doug Tryon on August 14, 2018 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.

Doug was born April 25, 1953 and spent his childhood growing up in Glencairn, Ontario.

Doug is survived by his children Rick Tryon (wife Sheila) and Rob Tryon of Stayner, Ontario, Becky Ellis of Brandon and Ben Tryon of Vancouver B.C. He was also the very proud grandfather of numerous grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. Doug leaves behind sisters Donna and Lee and brothers Johnny and Bill. Caryn, his wife of 17 years, also mourns his passing.

There was a special place in Doug's heart for Mike Malowski, Krista Harp, Kayden and Liam Harp and Raven Malowski.

Doug was predeceased by his parents John and Leota Tryon, brother-in-law Vic and brothers Gerry and Kenny.

Doug made Brandon his home in 1979. While living in Brandon he met Bob Hearn who was his life long friend, fishing and coffee buddy. Bob and wife Gwen were always willing to help Doug any way they could.

Doug enjoyed employment as a long distance truck driver and a bus driver with Grey Goose. He was also employed by the Brandon Regional Health Centre in housekeeping where he was partnered with Rob Long who grew to be one of Doug's best friends. Doug truly enjoyed his weekends working with Rob.

Doug loved his immediate and extended families deeply. They were his pride and greatest joy. He had a twinkle in his eyes and smile on his face whenever he spoke of them.

At his request cremation has already taken place. He will be buried in the family plot in Stayner, Ontario.

Doug was always willing to help others. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be a wonderful way for those wishing to honour his memory.
