Condolences

Condolence From: Gordon McIntosh
Condolence: I knew Jack since we were kids at Lord Roberts Elementary School in Winnipeg in the 50's. Growing up together was great fun and we were friends ever since, lost touch for a while while I was out of Manitoba, but we made up for it after I came back having a great time fishing and hunting. I only met Nellie once before they were married and I moved to BC but I know that Jack was "having a blast" with her and their hunting activities.

He will be sadly missed by all of us that were lucky enough to be his friends and my deepest condolences go to Nellie, Jeff, Chop, their families and his sisters Janie & Barb.

Condolence: Our deepest sympathies to Nellie, Jeff, Micheal and their families. Jack's laugh and knowledge about wildlife will be what I remember most. I worked with Jack for many years in the Western Region. Jack liked the wildlife side of conservation a lot. Whether it was going out to help me release an owl to the wild or go to meetings with me to talk with hunters about deer hunting seasons, Jack was there for me. And he always got a big 'kick' out of the startled reactions from people when he would throw the 'rubber snake' onto their desk when they weren't expecting it! Take care, Jack. Your good spirit will be missed.

Condolence From: Jackie Dixon
Condolence: Nellie, Jeff and Mike, my sincere condolences to you and your families on your loss. I worked in the same office with Jack until his retirement. When Jack got that mischievous twinkle in his eye you knew he was planning one of his practical jokes on one of his favourite targets. We shared many stories and tales of our mutual loves of fishing, hunting, horses and the north. Will fondly remember his smile, his positive energy and his "tell it as it is" attitude.

Condolence: I want to express my heartfelt condolences to all Jack’s family. I was very saddened by news of his passing.
My memories of Jack are lifelong and filled with laughter and his willingness to share his knowledge of outdoor resources and their management.
Jack was larger than life to me and alway approached it with a positive and enthusiastic attitude that was infectious for those around him.
I deeply regret being unable to attend his memorial service but know without doubt that he leaves a legacy of love, laughter and passion for life to those who knew and loved him. It was my privilege and honor to have worked with him and called him a friend
