Obituary for Jerry Christopher Morgan

Jerry Christopher Morgan
Jerry Christopher Morgan, age 62 years, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2018 at BRHC. He was born on November 1, 1955 in Grand Falls, Newfoundland to Ruby and William Morgan. Jerry completed high school in Grand Falls and worked as an auto body repairman for a number of years and in 1993 left Grand Falls to head west. He spent a short time in Ontario with his brother Wayne and then continued on his journey. Jerry landed in BC and worked in the auto body industry while there, but he ultimately put down roots in Fort McMurray, Alberta. While in Fort McMurray, he worked in the Oilsands as a Steam Bay Technician. In 2001, Jerry met Sharleen Mosiondz and they made a life together living in Fort McMurray until 2011 at which time they moved to Brandon and became the owners of Joey's Seafood. After deciding to slow down a bit, they sold the restaurant and at the time of his death, Jerry was working at Riverheights Terrace. He thoroughly enjoyed working there, as Jerry was an animated and jovial conversationalist. His good natured humor and spirit of good fellowship was a perfect fit. Jerry had a unique outlook on life and an ability to reach people in a positive way, thus making him an enjoyable and caring person to be around. Jerry is survived by his wife, Sharleen; brothers, Jim, Clyde, Randy, and Lorne; sisters, Cynithia, and Rosilund and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Ruby; siblings, Muriel, Margaret, Davie, Wayne, Helen and Sharon. A service will be held in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland at a later date. Jerry never passed up the opportunity to donate to the animal shelter and the SPCA, or any other charity that involved animals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200-17th Street East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 7M6.
