Condolence From: Don Stewart - Calgary
Condolence: To the Birin family!
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Bartzy last week!
I had the pleasure of working with Don at Weston for 6 years in Brandon and from there I also went on to enjoy a 34 year career with the company in various locations and positions. But I learned a lot from Don during that short six years. First and foremost he was a true character and was ideally suited for the bread business. He thoroughly enjoyed his customers and built long lasting relationships with each of them. His route management was impressive as well as being aggressive with the way he built sales and drove profits for his customers. Those teachings stayed with me so Don was a strong contributor to my success. For that I was forever grateful to him!
And yes he loved his golf and played every opportunity he could find.
May he rest in peace.

Condolence From: Sunnyside Golf Club
Condolence: Bartz has been a member at Sunnyside for many, many years. You could not count the number of crib games he took part in here over the years after golf! Bartz was a big part of the golf course and always supported the annual members’ tournament by purchasing prizes that he donated. He was our friend and we will miss him very much.
