Obituary for Aileen Farough

Aileen Farough
Aileen Farough passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Souris Personal Care Home. Aileen was born April 10, 1931 to Joseph and Eleanor Sipley at Elkhorn, MB. She grew up on the family farm with her four brothers, completing her education at Elkhorn. Aileen married Lynn Farough on October 11, 1949. Together they farmed in the Elgin district before retiring to Brandon in 1991. Many family and friends enjoyed their home and hospitality over the years. Mom was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a caring sister and friend who reached out and touched many lives. As health issues became a concern, Mom and Dad moved to Portage la Prairie in 2009. In November, 2014 they returned to Souris, spending two years at Victoria Park Lodge and then moved to Souris Personal Care Home in July, 2017. Aileen will be lovingly remembered by her husband Lynn, her son Calvin (Danielle) of Tisdale, SK and his children, Jodi (Neil), Jennifer (Neil) and Jamie (Darcy), daughter Karen (Howard) Roehle of Portage la Prairie, MB and their children Kendal (Kristina), Warren (Jacalyn), Andrea (Ken) and Erika (Allen), and son Randall (Alva) of Elgin, MB and their children Anita (Thomas), Amber (Morgan), Rylan (Jennith) and Ashley (Neil). She leaves a legacy of love for 32 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter. She is also fondly remembered by her brothers, Lindsay (Pat) of Warman, SK and Allan of Berwick, NS, sister-in-law Vivianne Sipley of Brandon, MB and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father in 1989 and her mother in 1996 and brothers, Harold and Lorne (Eileen) Sipley. A very special thank you to Dr. Dueck, the Souris hospital staff and especially the staff at Souris Personal Care who have provided excellent care to our Mom. Mom and Dad have appreciated the care and support of their family and friends since returning to their home area. The Funeral Service took place at the Souris Glenwood Memorial Complex, Souris, Manitoba on Thursday, March 22, 2018. A reception followed. Aileen was laid to rest at the Brandon Cemetery.
