The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Elinor Waddell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Carolyn and Margaret Menzies, Calgary
Condolence: Max and family,

We were so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. She was a very dear friend and a terrific lady. Elinor taught me in high school when we lived in Strathclair plus my Mom and I had a wonderful relationship with her during our many years in the Order of the Eastern Star. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

You have our deepest sympathy,
Carolyn and Margaret Menzies

Condolence: Elinor was a very nice lady. When I was a teenager, I would ride my bike in Sandy Lake and she would invite me in for something to drink. We would chat about anything and everything. My condolences to her family. Remember the good times and memories that were shared.

Condolence: To Max and family - I am so sorry to hear your Mother passed away and think of you with sympathy. She was a wonderful lady. Mrs. Waddell was my grade 8 teacher in Shoal Lake. I liked her as a teacher. She also helped me with public speaking. Years later when we both were in Brandon Elinor and I were both Crown Jewels ladies and I enjoyed her company on our outings. As we delivered meals, we always had a visit and she showed me what knitting project she was working on. She will be missed.

Condolence: Your mother and I belonged to the same Crown Jewel group (formerly called the Red Hats.) When she joined, it wasn’t long until we realized she was a special lady! Over the years, our members have developed a bond and we were sorry when her health began to decline and she could no longer participate. I know I speak on behalf of all members in conveying our sincerest sympathy to you and your family.
