The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. I am so sorry your loss. I was Jake's Assistant when I worked at Safeway in the Truck Department. He was so much more than my boss, he was a friend, mentor and gave me fatherly advice (sometimes not what I wanted to hear!) It was because of his advice, we were able to save to purchase our home! I have many wonderful memories of those years. I was very happy when he had told me he had met you and that he was moving to Brandon. While he came across as a gruff, he had a heart of gold. My husband just told me of Jake's passing when we saw his obituary this morning. Had I have know prior I would have come to Brandon to attend the service so I could say goodbye say goodbye to a man who had such a positive influence on my life, still to today.
