The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John "Jack" Dodds can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I knew him as "Mr.Dodds". He was my ringette coach many years ago. He was such a nice gentle man always with a big smile on his face. I was happy to run into him again not long ago in the mall.

Condolence: Brad, Amber and family

We heard with regret that your dad passed away last week. Both Shelly and I were saddened to hear this. We first met your dad at BU back in the early 80s. We could always count on a very pleasant smile and "hello" whenever we passed him in the halls and on occasion a short conversation, mostly small talk but genuine, friendly and refreshing.

We just wanted you to know that we both thought a great of your father. He certainly was a good man, and he will definitely be missed by all who were privileged enough to have known him.

Condolence: Rita and family.

Our condolence to all your family.

We enjoyed all the old pictures, stories, and obituaries that Jack forwarded to us at least once a month and his invitations to Breakfast.

Jack was also Great at assisting us with looking up family histories for families looking for where their parents or grandparents lived and the stories that followed. We had folks come from as far away as Germany and we were able to provide them with some history, and pictures of where they lived in our area. A lot of his stories are at the Foxwarren Museum.

We will miss him!

Our Sympathy, Alan & Linda

Condolence: My sincere condolences to you, Rita, your children and grandchildren. Jack was always so positive even when not feeling his best. I will cherish the fond memories of our golf games in Birtle and at our Sandy Hook GC when you came to visit with the Winstones and myself. We always had so many laughs and made great memories on and off the course.
