Condolence: A Tribute to Marilyn for Dave & Family
We remember meeting Marilyn for the first time @ The Keg. I think it was Dave's 50th. She was so shy & sweet. I'm sure she had her reservations about meeting the Big Family. We immediately clicked & the relationship started. We would often see Dave & Marilyn when they came to Wpg. to see Davian, Andrea and grandchildren. Carol's long calls to Brandon often ended in "So good to hear from you but I gotta go, Dave's coming home for lunch" Meaning she wanted to get that homecooked meal on the table, on time. Her devotion to family & friends was evident in many ways. Her smile lit up a room & her concern for others was always, there. We know where you are, in that most glorious place. When visiting in the hospital, Marilyn got out of bed to give smiles & hugs. She "so" wanted to go home, and now she is "home", where there is no more suffering, pain or tears. We will miss our precious sister-in-law who was so accepting in so many trials. Love you Dave & Family

Condolence From: Andee Penner
Condolence: Marilyn was such a light in my Dad's life for the past 24 years. They came into each other's lives at such an important time, finding a new love and support that was perfectly matched.
My first and last memories of Marilyn were her kind smile and love of bringing comforting food to all her loved ones. When I first lived on my own in Winnipeg she would often fill my freezer with her delicious calzones packed with mushrooms, alfredo sauce and lots of love. They were certainly a favorite of mine among many other delicious, lovingly made food she made for us.
Knowing she took such good care of my Dad and he of her put me at ease after moving away from Brandon. They were always so devoted to each other and truly survived sickness and health, better or worse right up to her last moments.
It was such a gift to be able to spend some precious time with her and my Dad in her last days and I will always cherish the smiles, the laughs and the tears we all shared. She was a fighter her whole life and gave so much love.
Marilyn, you can rest peacefully now and know that we will be by Dad's side with nothing but love and support. Thank you for being such a bright light and love in my Dad's life for so many years. You'll be in our hearts always and we love you.
