Thomas James  Bourns
Thomas James Bourns of Oakland Municipality died on June 14, 2017. Tommy was born in Crystal City, MB. on October 5, 1942 to Sadie & George Bourns. He grew up and attended school in Cartwright, MB. He moved into Brandon and later took his plumbing ticket in Winnipeg, MB. He worked as a plumber in the construction industry, working mainly in Manitoba. He later moved to the Oakland area where he farmed 80 acres, raised sheep and guinea hens. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Sadie Bourns. Tommy is survived by many cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held at the Cartwright Cemetery on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Beth Clark will officiate. Donations in memory of Tommy may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for the Western Manitoba Cancer Program, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2B3.
