The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Florence Brown can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Jasper
Condolence: To Linda and Bob,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. Being away on holidays and then coming back to hear she has passed is painful.
Florence was a great friend, a sweet, loving personality with a great sense of humor. She had such a kind supportive family that she always spoke highly of. She needed no encouragement when attending programs; she wouldn’t let her limitations of her hands and small frame stop her from joining everything and anything in recreation. She made my job easy when it came to joining in on the fun. Florence was full of humor and spunk; I have many fond memories of the time she was with us. She always remembered my name and was always very thankful with all care received. I always really appreciated that she remembered my name because many cannot. She often would call out my name or ask others if “Jasper was here “. When she wore purple, I would tell her how it was my favorite color and she would always respond with, “Reds my favorite color”. One story that stands out in my mind was when I became engaged and I asked flo how her husband purposed. She said she couldn’t remember exactly how he purposed, but she remembers her father was just so happy that she was finally getting married! He was concerned that she was going to an old maid because she was 25 years old! Florence was 25 and her husband was 6 years older when they were married so they were considered an “Old Couple” back in the day. I always found that to be funny because time has sure changed.
My deepest condolences at this time.
