Obituary for Alvin Clifford Franklin

Alvin Clifford  Franklin
Alvin Clifford Franklin, age 90 years, formerly of the North Brandon district, passed away at his residence, Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home on Monday, February 1, 2016. Alvin was born April 15, 1925 in Forrest, Manitoba. He was one of four children born to Herbert and Ethel Franklin, and lived most of his life in the R.M. of Elton. He married Marie Blythe in 1953, and together they had three children: Doug, Joe and Darlene. While raising a family, they farmed in the R.M. of Elton District (St. George's District) for many years. In later years, Alvin drove school bus for the Rolling River School Division. Alvin is survived by sons Doug, Joe; and Joe's good friend Linda Roseveare. He was predeceased by his wife Marie (June 2009); daughter Darlene Fuhr (March 2010); also siblings Clarence, Howard and Norma. The family honoured Alvin in a private graveside ceremony at the St. George's Cemetery. Rev. Lydia Glawson officiated.
