Obituary for Peter Ewasiuk

Peter Ewasiuk
EWASIUK: Peter Ewasiuk C.D., age 87 years, passed away with family at his side, on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Peter was born and raised in Sandy Lake, Manitoba. As a young man, Peter joined PPCLI, and became a paratrooper. His travels took him to the Belgian Congo, and Korea. Upon returning home, Peter met his wife of 55 years, Marion. Together they raised three children. Peter was employed at the Brandon Mental Health Centre until his retirement. Peter could be found hanging out at The Clay Pot, or Shilo, or other local hang outs about Brandon. As you know, Peter always had something to say. He enjoyed his time with his family and friends. Peter was also President of KVA. Peter was predeceased by his parents, one sister and one brother. Left to cherish Peter's memory are his wife Marion; children Terry, Heather (Kevin), Michael (Christine); grandchildren Anson, Erica, Trevor, Lance, Derek, and Jessica as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. The Funeral Service will take place at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Michael Tkachuk officiating and Tony Yuriy as Cantor. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Peter may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
