Obituary for William Nicholas "Billy" Osadchuk

William Nicholas "Billy" Osadchuk
OSADCHUK: It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of William Nicholas "Bill" / "Sad" Osadchuk on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Bill was born at Brandon General Hospital to Mary and Nickolas Osadchuk on July 11, 1957. He was raised in Brandon and attended David Livingston, Brandon Collegiate College, Earl Oxford, Crocus Plains and Assiniboine Community College. Bill held several part positions as he was growing up. For a short time he went to Saskatoon to work with CPR for a year until his father became sick and he came home to help. That’s when he went to work for Northern Auto Parts which at that time he made many long time friends and acquaintances. In 1981, Bill married Anna-Lisa and they began their life together. In 1982, as a family, we were blessed with a son Nickolas who followed with another blessing in 1984 with Lynnette. In 1990, Bill decided to take the leap and open his own business, Reliance Cylinder Head. He ran and operated that business out of the garage for more than twenty years and enjoyed every customer that came to drop off and pick up. He loved to talk. In 1994, our family had another blessing, Katherine. Our family was complete who he was so proud of. In 2011, Bill made the decision to go back into the work force and rejoined Springland Mfg. He enjoyed every day and relished the friends he made. Bill was always an avid car enthusiast. One of the pioneers who drag raced on Rosser Avenue. He was a member of the NHRA and the IRHA and owned several drag cars over the years. He loved to go to Gimli, Neepawa, and he was fortunate enough to go to Calgary and Brainerd to see the drags. Bill was predeceased by his father Nickolas on April 6, 1980 and his mother Mary on May 15, 1992, and many aunts and uncles over the years. Also by his faithful companions over the years – Tuffy, Trixy, Daisy and Chewy. He is survived by his wife Anna-Lisa, his pride and joy his children Nickolas, Lynnette (Karl) Rink, and Katherine. Also surviving are his brothers Steve (Gail) Skibo and Ron (Angie) Skiba and his nephew Wayne (Sandy) Skibo and their children Karli & Brett, and his niece Debbie (Stan) Kubica and their son Jorden. Casha and his grand dog Casey. The family would like to send out our extreme appreciation to Dr. Moller, Dr. du Plooy, Dr. Bashir of the WMCC & Dr. Brandes from MCCC for their wonderful care and not to mention the nurses and aides from the treatments room. Thank you to the nurses and aides from Palliative Care, we couldn’t have had better care for Bill or the family. You are all angels. A celebration of Bill's life took place on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Brandon Cemetery. A reception followed at Memories Chapel. Thank you for all the cards and the flowers at Bill’s passing but for those who wish to make a donation in Bill’s memory please donate to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for Palliative Care, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2B3. Bill was so courageous and fought his battle with dignity and grace. We are missing you!
