Obituary for Esther Alma Inglis

INGLIS: With sadness but release of spirit, we announce the passing of Esther Alma Inglis at her residence Fairview Home on Tuesday, February 8, 2005. Esther was born on March 8, 1915 near Redvers, Saskatchewan, raised and lived in Edinburgh, Scotland and later resided in Glasgow, Scotland, Montreal, Quebec and Brandon, Manitoba. She gave of herself to family, friends, church and community. Esther leaves unique memories to all those who knew her. She especially encouraged young people by listening and supporting their dreams. Esther was predeceased by her husband, Reverend James B. Inglis; son, Andrew; sisters, Margaret McMillan and Dreena Dobson. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, David (Laurie); nieces, Keay Dobson-Golletz (Richard), Anne Hay (Doug and Adam), Susan Dobson, Margaret Dickson (Alister) and nephew, Gordon McMillan (Caroline). Cremation has already taken place. The Ceremony to Celebrate Esther's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Paul Sakasov of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Esther to Helping Hands Centre of Brandon, 836 Lorne Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 0T8 or to a charity of choice.
