IRWIN: The death of Reta Lena Irwin of Rivers occurred at the Riverdale Health Centre on Friday, March 28, 2008. Reta was born at Plum Coulee, Manitoba on July 8, 1935, daughter of William S. and Elisabeth Friesen. She married John Frederick Irwin, who predeceased her in 1994. Reta was also predeceased by, a son Jack Irwin and a brother Bill Friesen. She is survived by: her children, Eileen (David) Reid, Ian (Kristen) Irwin and Pearl (Ross) Stewart. There are three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Irwin also leaves siblings: John (Mary) Friesen, Susan (Allen) Elliott, Kathy Christofferson, Mary Jensen, Jake (Barb) Friesen, Linda (Gary) Zeller and a sister-in-law, Carole Friesen. The Ceremony to Celebrate Reta's Life will be held at the Rivers United Church on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Glenna Beauchamp will officiate.
